Item Description
Die cut and 3" tall two-sided celluloid that had either a short string tag or a moveable short stickpin through the hole in the top of the hat. Feltman's opened in 1897 as a tiny beachfront stand but expanded to tout itself as "The World's Largest Restaurant" at the corner of Surf Avenue and West 10th St. in a huge octagonal building with the name of its roller coast "ZIZ" as a giant sign atop the building. Feltman's was comprised of multiple restaurants serving hot dogs, invented by Feltman himself, to seafood and steak dinners. While much less terrifying than today's monster coasters, ZIZ was just as popular and we know of five different ZIZ double-sided souvenir figures, all like this one. Rare. NM.
