Item Description
27.5x41" poster for Chapter 4, "The Sky Patrol," of the 1939 12 chapter Sci-Fi movie serial, produced by Universal Pictures and featuring Buster Crabbe in the title role, co-starring Constance Moore, Jackie Moran and Anthony Warde. Posters for the individual chapters feature unique art (see others in this auction), this chapter showing large portrait image of Crabbe at bottom left w/image of spaceship attack on futuristic city w/scene of two men caught in explosion at top of poster. Additional fight scene at bottom right. Poster was originally folded and has now been linen-mounted w/fold lines being noticeable only upon close inspection. Poster has had scattered professional restoration, mainly to fold lines and at fold crease intersections w/margin pin holes restored. Small spot of restoration to first letter of title. Poster o/w retains a bright and clean appearance and displays Exc. Gene Seger Buck Rogers Collection.
