Item Description
27.5x41" poster for Chapter 12, "War Of The Planets," of the 1939 12 chapter Sci-Fi movie serial, produced by Universal Pictures and featuring Buster Crabbe in the title role, co-starring Constance Moore, Jackie Moran and Anthony Warde. Posters for the individual chapters feature unique art (see others in this auction), this chapter showing large portrait image of Crabbe at bottom right w/image of battle at top of poster, additional fight scene at lower left. Poster was originally folded and has now been linen-mounted w/fold lines being noticeable only upon close inspection. Poster has had scattered professional restoration, mainly to fold lines and at fold crease intersections w/some scattered margin restoration, including restoration to corner pin holes. Poster retains a bright and clean appearance and displays Exc. Gene Seger Buck Rogers Collection.
