Item Description
7x9.25" painted edge to edge thin board Spanish novel cover original art. c. 1950s. Art is from a series of war story novels "Command Collection". Cover is for book #39 "Estado Mayor General" (General Staff) story by George H. White. Art signed "Tomás Porto". Painted image is of WWII Nazi German generals, including a Gestapo general w/booby-trap explosion in foreground. Text also hand-painted on artwork. Lt. aging/wear. Type at bottom of art is attached strip on bottom of art. Art is mounted on another thin piece of board. VF. Classic image of espionage. Comes w/printed copy of novel.
