Item Description
14.25x21.25" large art board is from "The Terrible Tree-Man" from Tomahawk Vol. 1 #89 page 6, December 1963. Story was written by Ed Herron. Graphite pencil and ink art by Fred Ray (1920-2001). Brief story synopsis has the red-coats tricking Indian Chief (Walking Bear) into putting a curse on Tomahawk that turns him into a Tree Giant. Larger artboard has some lt. margin handling/dust soiling but art remains clean. VF. A great three panel page w/the Rangers fighting the red-coats and the last panel showing the Indian Medicine Man cursing Tomahawk who is starting to transform into the Tree Giant.
