1.5" w/Western Badge & Nov. Co. Saint Paul, MN back paper. Union bug in field at 6 o'clock. Light surface wear under magnification. NM. Superlative quality, historically significant and rarely offered. Industrial Workers of the World organizers Joe Schmidt, Carlo Tresca and Sam Scarlett were arrested July 4, 1916 on charges related to a shootout in Biwabik, part of the Minnesota iron range. The three were not in the area during the shootout and were charged w/inciting murder and criminal libel in an effort to disrupt the strike.
