Item Description
This 4" tall Japanese bisque w/movable arms was made in Japan, c. 1938. Incised "Foreign" text on back and "Dopey" name across front of hat. All moveable arm Dwarf bisques are extremely rare. These were made in at least three different sizes (see previous lot) but we are unsure if full sets of Snow White and all seven Dwarfs were even made for each character, in each size, as we have only seen a few in total over our 55 years and this is our first ever seen of this size Dopey. Moderate scattered wear and aging and some pink color fade on front of shirt and left arm. Fine. A true Disney rarity.
