Item Description
11.25x16.75" Marvel Comics artboard has pen and ink original art for first page of Saga Of The Human Torch #1, published by Marvel April 1990. Art is by Rich Buckler (1949-2017) w/inks by Danny Bulanadi. While Buckler is well known for his 1970s Fantastic Four work, this title featured the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond), and page features four panels, showing the android first awakening, his vision first setting upon his creator, Professor Phineas Horton, who is seen in excited close-up on splash panel. Publishing indicia stat paste-over at bottom w/some scattered glue staining at lower right corner of splash panel. Inked title and issue/page numbers at top margin w/Buckler's name in pencil. Some scattered dust soiling but VF overall.
