27-5/8x36-7/8" offset litho American release poster on glossy paper featuring explosive and colorful psychedelic art by Australian artist Martin Sharp, showing Jimi Hendrix playing riff on his guitar. Fittingly referred to as "Explosion," this poster was sold in head shops of the era. Bottom left has small "MS16 Hendrix by Martin Sharp - Published by Big O Posters Ltd., 219 Eversleigh Road London SW11 5UY 01-228-3392 - Printed in England" text w/"Big O Posters Inc. Box 6186. Charlottesville VA, 22906 USA - 804-295-0566" text at lower right. Poster has been rolled and has some scattered handling wear, w/wear along top left margin edge and at corners. Poster would display VF if framed.
