Item Description
The as-issued plain white cardboard cover contains 33-1/3 "Columbia Record Productions Santa Maria Test Pressing" album. Plain white inner sleeve is present. Attached by clear tape strips to back of the cover is photocopy spec sheet w/tracks and times plus date of 11/12/76. The album was released on Feb. 22, 1977 and would become one of the most celebrated rock albums of all-time, led by the title track which has remained a radio staple all these decades later.
Boldly signed on bottom portion of front cover by Glen Frey (1948-2016), Don Felder and Joe Walsh in black felt tip pen and by Don Henley and Randy Meisner in blue felt tip pen. Felder also added the inscription at top "Dear John - Thanks From The Eagles." Also written at top left of cover is "7E-1084 A/B" which is the matching matrix number. Top center edge of cover has 1.5" split and 1" clear tape strip at top left. Trace of age and some scattered black ink marks, but all signatures are sharp and clear. Cover is Fine, LP is NM. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
