Item Description
10.75" tall Mickey Mouse doll w/velveteen body, head, pants (w/pair of small plastic buttons on front/back), shoes, hands and felt face (w/open velveteen mouth and oilcloth eyes). Made in England by famous cloth book, toy and doll company Dean's Rag Book Co. Ltd. We believe this doll was created to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V in 1935, and doll was produced w/outfit and bow in the colors of the Union Jack - red, white and blue. Doll is complete w/original bow and rubber tail (which is typically missing for dolls of this type) and features original oval cardboard tag attached at wrist. Front bears "Dean's Hygienic Dolls" company name/mark w/printed "Mickey Mouse" name while back has repeated Mickey name and Disney copyright information. Back also has stamped stock number and some penciled prices. Unlike most Dean's Mickey Mouse dolls that show teeth, this doll features open mouth design. Doll exhibits slight overall aging but remains clean and colors are bright. Exc. Very rare Dean's doll, let alone in this high grade condition. First we've offered in our 55 years.
