Item Description
1-1/8" brass lapel stud with threaded brass cap on the reverse and both the round disc and cap are incised with name of maker "Robbins Co. Attleboro, Mass." NBC radio was founded in 1926 and this is possibly their first ever serially numbered employee ID badge. We believe the number "29" to be a serial number rather than 1929 shortened to 29 because the Western Electric microphone shown is from the mid-1920s featuring details in blue and white enamel against a brass background of billowing clouds and about eight bolts of lightning. See next historic TV related political convention badge. Slight luster loss. Rare. Exc.
