Item Description
1.25" w/vertical bar pin. Small text interwoven w/larger text at top "Buffalo Ny USA." Additional large text at bottom "Souvenir Photo". Real photo portrait of McKinley flanked by "1901" and small text at bottom "Sept. 5". Overall the cello and metal collet have been evenly flattened, not affecting display. Surface wear in reflected light from moderate use and a few scattered tiny bumps. Technically VF but displaying well above grade. McKinley was shot the next day, Sep. 6, by Leon Czolgosz while greeting patrons outside the Temple of Music at the Expo. Only the second we've encountered in our 55 years. John Pendergrass Collection.
