Item Description
19.5x27" professionally matted w/gold trim around the 13x20" opening. Pen and ink on thin art board not examined out of matting. Full figure caricature of the Democratic governor of the Empire State. Horizontal creases across top fourth that break the surface paper creating a thin line across Hill's face. Technically Fine. Displays beautifully and will be further enhanced once framed. Hill was the political rival of Grover Cleveland serving as his running mate in 1882 and taking over the Governor seat when Cleveland became President.
