Item Description
5.5x8.5" Christmas card features great image on front of Hop Harrigan in plane's cockpit, flashing the V for Victory sign w/"This Is Hop Harrigan Coming In.... To Bring You The Season's Greetings!" text. Hop Harrigan was introduced in the first issue of All-American Comics, which was published as the flagship title of All-American Publications, (one of the forerunners to DC Comics) where it was published for 102 issues from 1939 to 1948 before All-American Publications and its titles were purchased by National Periodicals (DC Comics) in 1946. This promotional card was issued by DC Comics (see previous lot for Wonder Woman promotional Christmas card) in the early 1940s and as such saw limited distribution. Card interior is blank as issued and unused. Card has lt. corner tip wear but is o/w Exc./NM Very rare and the only example we've offered in our 55 years.
