Item Description
4.25x5-5/8" single-sided cardstock Christmas card features great image of Wonder Woman kneeling at Christmas tree w/"Wonder Woman Wishes You Holiday Cheer!" text below this. Of note, two gifts have nametags, one is that of Wonder Woman's best friend and impromptu sidekick Etta Candy while the other is addressed to "Eve," referencing Eve Brown (the sister of Steve Trevor's secretary) and fellow Holliday Girls member alongside Etta. Wall in bkg. has college pennant for the fictional Holliday College for Women. Art is by H.G. Peter (1880-1958), best known for his work on Golden Age Wonder Woman comics. This promotional card was issued by DC Comics and saw very limited distribution. Lower left corner has faint .5x.75" spot of moisture staining and small corner crease. VF overall. From the Jerry G. Bails Collection and is accompanied by four clipped original Wonder Woman daily strips from the 1940s (each w/Peters art). This Christmas card is very rare and the first we've offered in our 55 years. A must-have for any serious Wonder Woman collector.
