Item Description
.75" litho w/1.5" attached cello ribbon. Likely refers to the Nov. 2nd, 1915 vote that roundly denied Massachusetts women suffrage with a nearly 2 to 1 vote against. When a rally was held in Boston the month prior, anti-suffrage groups distributed 100,000 "blushing" red roses to flank the red protest banners flown from cars and homes. All four state suffrage proposals (Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey) in 1915 were defeated. Surface scratches to cello ribbon, Exc. Trivial wear to button with tiny color imperfection at 11 o'clock as made, NM.
