Item Description
13.75x19.75" watercolor paper has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish Marvel Comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for the Spanish graphic novel Nick Furia, Agente De...S.H.I.E.L.D., which reprints US Marvel Spotlight #31, Nick Fury #11-15, Marvel Super Action #33 and was published in Spain by Salon Del Comic De Barcelona, ©2002. Paper is oversized w/art showing an original composition based on art from the US issue cover #15 by Herb Trimpe/Dick Ayers. Great image of Bullseye in similar fashion to original cover but w/a haunting Nick Fury skull w/shot to forehead oozing blood. Signed by Espí. Art area measures 9x12". Paper has some minor edge wear but o/w art remains bright, clean and Exc. A wonderful example from when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish Marvel comic books, featuring one of Marvel's more popular characters. Superb and dynamic cover art. Comes w/reading copy of the Spanish graphic novel this cover art was created for.
