Item Description
9x9.75" album w/24 pages and complete set of 216 thin paper color-tinted cards; each is 2x2-7/8". Issued in Spain by Fher (known for their album and card sets). 1940s and based on the 1940 Republic Pictures 15 chapter movie serial Mysterious Doctor Satan (foe of masked mystery man The Copperhead), directed by William Witney and John English. Starring Edward Ciannelli, Robert Wilcox, William Newell, C. Montague Shaw, Ella Neal and Dorothy Herbert, the title of the serial is derived from that of its chief villain. Album has attached order sheet on inside front cover and has some scattered staining to covers w/upper right corner having staining to covers and pages in this area. Lower right corner shows wear to covers/pages. Scattered rust soiling at staples. Some scattered moisture staining/rippling to pages. Fine overall. Album has seven duplicate cards mounted in correct spots and comes w/complete loose set of cards, which show varying degrees of aging/wear and are mostly VG to EX. Pages feature Spanish captions below spot for each card (which feature art images). Textured stiff paper covers show just lt. edge/corner tip wear w/some scattered staining. Cover is Fine/VF. Pages have some scattered aging and rippling and are Fine overall. Cards are overall EX to NM as mounted. Rare complete album, just the third we've offered in our 55 years, and the other examples have all the cards mounted in place.
