Item Description
22x23x70.5" tall painted wire frame spinner rack w/heavy metal base and center metal pole. Display is topped by two 8" wide tin lithographed panels wrapped around rack top in circular wrap, w/"Dell Comics Are Good Comics" repeated text and parade image of 11 different comic characters, including Henry, Little Iodine, Bugs Bunny, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Little Lulu, Uncle Scrooge, Andy Panda, Tweety Bird, Sylvester J. Pussycat, Tom (carrying balloons w/Tom & Jerry portraits), Donald Duck, Tubby, Porky Pig, Woody Woodpecker, Mickey Mouse and Goofy. Wonderful assortment of Dell's many licensed comic characters. Bottom of one panel has 1954 Dell copyright. Panels have some scattered wear in the form of paint nicks/scratches and panel w/Bugs Bunny has four strips of tape residue along top/bottom. Panels are Fine to VF overall. Rest of rack shows scattered moderate paint wear w/obvious wear to metal base. Fine overall. One of the best and rarest comic book spinner racks and the first example we've offered in our 55 years. Due to size and/or weight of this item, shipping charges may be substantial.
