Item Description
Each box about 5.5x8.5x2.5" deep. His image and name appear on outer lids as well as interior large and small paper labels with one box also showing two images of his most famous work "Progress and Poverty" published in 1879, selling millions of copies worldwide. Boxes have all over wear with a few small missing pieces of paper labels but both are largely complete and structurally sound although one lid is secured by very old thin cloth tape hinge. While running for New York City mayor in 1897, George had a stroke and died four days prior to election. VG.
