Item Description
Large 20x28-1/8" board has 18.25x26.25" artboard w/pen and ink original art for Sept. 18, 1938 Sunday page that has been nicely hand-colored. Art is by Right Around Home creator Dudley Fisher (1890-1951), whose comics focused on one family in a unique format, employing an overhead view showing numerous characters in an immense single panel. This is no different as seen here in "Our Family Reunion!" page, showcasing dozens of characters in farm setting, including boy driving tractor. Second thin strip at bottom shows silhouette of family leaving in their car. Bottom center has KFS copyright strip. Bottom right has black ink inscription "Regards To Elizabeth Holmes - Oct. 1, 1938" and has been signed by the artist. Upper left corner has 7" repaired tear w/touch-ups, but o/w art remains clean and displays VF overall.
