Item Description
6x6.5x3.5" deep nicely illustrated box contains 6.25" tall metal/plastic pencil sharpener made in Japan for the Japanese market by Max, c. 1966. Box features different illustrations of Batman w/Robin and Batman w/Batmobile on front/back. Box is complete w/cardboard insert and has Japanese store sticker on top flap. Inner flap has .5" tear and .25" tear to top edge, but o/w box is bright and VF overall. Sharpener comes w/illustrated instruction folder as well as plastic bag containing mounting hardware and Japanese instruction slip. All is Exc. Sharpener itself features batsymbol w/"Max" company name on top as well as smaller foil batsymbol sticker on back. Plastic shavings receptacle has decal portraits of Batman and Robin as well as larger decal of Batman w/Batmobile. Original string price tag has batsymbol. Unused and NM, old store stock. Rare and just the second we've offered in our 55 years.
