Item Description
14" long tin litho Batmobile. Made in Japan exclusively for the Japanese market by Aoshin Shoten, c. 1966. Hood features "Batman" comic book title/logo w/doors and trunk having "BatMobile" name. Doors also have batsymbols, as do tin litho hubcaps. Cockpit has tin litho upper body/shoulders of Batman w/soft vinyl head. Front left metal bumper is missing tab but remains in place for display. Friction action is a bit jerky, but wheels turn and toy still makes noise, but no longer works in intended fashion. Batmobile's body shows scattered paint wear in the form of small nicks/scratches, more moderate on hood. VG overall, but still impressive in both size and design. Scarce in any condition.
