Item Description
6.5x10.25" stat paper sheets w/copy of art for X-Men #106 (Marvel, August 1977) featuring the New X-Men by Dave Cockrum that are hand-colored as color guides for the published issue. Complete cover and 17 story pages. Classic Bronze Age New X-Men storyline "Dark Shroud of the Past!" by Chris Claremont with art by Dave Cockrum. Color artist Andy Yanchus. Pages mounted to 8.5x11" copy paper w/Marvel Masterworks X-Men stamped at top and marked up w/new color break notations. Color guides are original to 1977 comic issue and were re-used to reprint as Marvel Masterworks #12 that reprinted issues #101-110. c. 1990. Slight wrinkling from being colored, lt. aging/handling wear and some tiny edge tears but overall clean. Pages have cut in panels and corrections as part of the creative process. Cover has two mylar pieces taped to sides w/text coloring. Overall displays VF. From The Archives of Colorist Andy Yanchus.
