Item Description
1.5" w/J. A. Joel & Co. back paper. Text reading "No Pussy Footer/Fitted For The Job/Nicholas Murray Butler." Cello is glossy and clean, displaying NM w/only trivial surface wear. Tiny cello separation along the collet at 2 o'clock that is stable and doesn't affect display, Exc. In 1912, Sherman died a few days before the election and Butler replaced him on the ticket. Butler sought the presidential nomination in 1920 and again in 1928. One of only a few examples known to us. Rare.
