Item Description
3.5" w/Bastian Bros. and union bug Rochester 19 on curl. Byrd was one of about a dozen Democratic hopefuls in the 1932 nominating process. He truly only carried the support of his home state's (Virginia) delegation and placed eighth on the first ballot, far behind the three top contenders of Franklin Roosevelt, Alfred Smith, and James Nance Garner. A blue-tone real photo image w/strong contrast. A few tiny pinprick indentations seen in only in reflected light. Otherwise only light surface war. Exc. Hopeful items from 1932 for Byrd are tough to come by in any size, and this oversized portrait button is sure to make a statement in a 1932 or Byrd display.
