Item Description
3.5" w/ribbon glued to reverse reading "The Sunshine State." While Florida may be more commonly associated w/The "Sunshine State" nickname today, South Dakota was the original "Sunshine State" w/the nickname on its state flag from 1909 until 1992. Ribbon and cello have only light wear from limited use, most notaby some minor fading on the red lettering in "South Dakota." Exc. One of the only examples featuring "South Dakota", easily one of the toughest Ike inaugural badges. John Pendergrass Collection.
