Item Description
Both are 7/8" litho. The first "Vote For Boxing Bill" is likely from Chicago as there was a Mullen's Gym there in the 1920s and the button is made by Geraghty, Chicago. NM. The second, while made by Green Duck, Chicago, is from NYC and likely the 1925 successful campaign for Mayor by Jimmy Walker, the flamboyant Tammany democratic mayor known as Beau James. The slogan references his pre-1925 career in NY state legislature crediting him as "Walker Gave Us Boxing". Tiny wear. VF. These are both the only examples known to us. Both Paul Muchinsky Collection with the first as book photo example #376.
