Item Description
1.75" with dusty but readable W&H back paper used only 1898-99 and this button is from 1898. Man in suit and hat walks alongside team of horses carrying a single, giant, exaggerated ear of corn upon a wagon bed. Text is "Macon County Corn Carnival/Decatur, Ill./Oct. 26, 27, 28, & 29." Traces of surface wear in reflected light but high gloss, super clean and Exc. Rare. One known to us. This is photo example used (p. 86) for Button Power: 125 Years of Saying It With Buttons by Christen Carter and Ted Hake. Comes w/Hake's COA.
