Item Description
1" litho by Greenduck and likely issued by the Communist affiliated International Labor Defense (ILD). Diagonal scratch at center and tiny missing dots of paint along outer edge. Extremely Fine. The Italian immigrants were convicted of killing a paymaster at Slater & Morrill Show Co. in 1921 after a trial that saw heavy influence from anti-Anarchist and anti-immigrant sentiments. The pair became a cause célèbre and despite a series of appeals were electrocuted in 1927.
