Item Description
11"x17"x4.5" tall original hand-made architectural model of McDonald's Mansard Roof style restaurant which was first introduced in Matteson, IL in 1969. Approximate 1/48 scale. The standard look of McDonald's buildings for nearly thirty years. This model was commissioned by a potential franchisee in Tennessee in the 1970s and is one of only two known to exist. Detailed model features a textured sidewalk base, brick walls featuring McDonald's name w/the golden arches logo, tiled roof surround and vacu-formed rooftop featuring air conditioning and mechanical fixtures. Lt. aging/ handling, minor scratches/wear. Displays Fine. Scarce franchise promotional item.
