Item Description
15" tall (1:1 Scale) painted hard copy prototype for the bounty hunter IG-88 from Kenner's The Empires Strike Back 12 Inch Series toyline, the rarest of the 12 Inch figures produced by Kenner. Missing hands (as well as bandolier and weapon accessories), prototype has been painted in a color scheme very close to the final production paints, missing only the black accent paint on arms. Jointed at neck. shoulders and hips, feet do not move. Paint shows just tiny traces of aging/wear and prototype displays VF. Prototype is attached to 6x6x2" tall translucent acrylic base (designed to look like icy landscape) w/screw on underside on one foot and could be easily removed if so desired. Only a small number of these 12 Inch series hard copies exist, let alone painted as seen here. Impressive and rare Star Wars prototype. Comes with notarized Collectible Investment Brokerage (CIB) LOA.
