Item Description
Lot of six different die-cut stiff paper jointed figures (w/plastic pieces to assemble) in original bags w/header cards. Made in Spain for the Spanish market by popular publisher Ediciones Vértice (known for their comic books) in Barcelona, ©1980 Marvel Comics Group/KFS. The five Marvel packages are approx. 11x13" to 11.5x18" including header card and plain cardboard insert. Initially, there were to be four in this series (Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor and Captain America), w/an extended series adding Conan the Barbarian. Lot contains all as well as smaller 11.5x13" package containing similar Flash Gordon (1980 film style) figure. All Marvel header cards have been punched while Flash remains unpunched and all have staple holes w/some lt. rust soiling. Staples were removed, resulting in loose headers. Packages show some scattered wear/aging and are Fine/VF overall. A sprue of plastic connecter pieces comes w/each, but a few of the tiny pieces are missing; however what is here mostly remains on sprues. Contents are o/w unused and NM. We sold a similar lot (not including Captain America of Flash Gordon) for $379 in our July 2022 auction.
