Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1958 Topps Baseball set consists of 494 cards. Each card front features either action poses or bust portraits with a solid color background. The player's name is printed across the top with his team affiliation across the bottom. The 1958 Topps set was the first to carry subsets (identified as "Sport Magazine All-Stars") and is host to a wealth of variations, including 33 pieces (between #s 2-108) that carry player or team names found in either yellow or white lettering, with the yellow version, including those of Aaron, Clemente and Kaline, being among the more cherished pieces. Topps withdrew card #145 from the set after its player, Ed Bouchee, was suspended from the game.

This card features two of the biggest stars of the day and of all time. They were the leaders of their teams which had a storied rivalry, both while in New York and California. Willie Mays was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1979 while Duke Snider was inducted in 1980.
