Rawlings Official Ball 1979 World Series baseball has been signed by members of the 1979 Baltimore Orioles, who finished first in the AL East division w/a record of 102 wins and 57 losses. They went on to defeat the California Angels in the 1979 AL Championship Series before losing in the 1979 World Series to the Pittsburgh Pirates, four games to three. Ball has 24 signatures in total and include National Baseball HOF members Earl Weaver (who signed on sweet spot), Eddie Murray, Jim Palmer and Frank Robinson. Other key player signatures include - Cal Ripken Sr., Jim Frey, Rick Dempsey, Ken Singleton and Al Bumbry. All have signed in either blue or black ink. A few signatures are a bit lt. and ball has moderate toning w/some aging to signatures, all of which remain legible. Fine overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
