Item Description
16x20.25" original 1976 issued poster for Heavyweight Championship fight between Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton, September 28, 1976, Yankee Stadium, NYC. Bottom text "Top Rank, Inc. Madison Square Garden". Striking surrealistic design by Italian artist Luigi Castiglioni (1936-2003). The third fight between the two. Prior fights in 1973 saw split decisions w/Norton breaking Ali's jaw during his victory. This 1976 match was highly anticipated and saw Ali win in a contorversial unanimous decision. Lt. aging/handling wear. Minor handling creases. 1" long surface scratch above Norton's head image. Great image and poster is ready to frame. Displays VF.
