Item Description
Kit No. 423-100. ©1961 Universal Pictures Co., Inc. This is a first issue monster kit with 1.5" thick box that was changed later to 2" thick matching the other kits in the series. The kit itself also incorrectly has "Aurora Plastics Corp. 1961" on base that was corrected to include Universal on later issues. Shrinkwrap has unfortunately continued to shrink with age, crushing box. Shrinkwrap has split on both bottom corners but is still intact. Box has bowing to face and dishing to bottom. Lower and upper end panels have one kinked/warped corner each. Box still displays VG. Factory-sealed with unused contents. Scarce early issue.
