Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 11" tall toy w/attached painted tin remote control unit. Marx, 1960s. Exceptional box features multiple color illustrations on lid of King Kong featuring a city rampage, a dinosaur and a quiet moment holding a baby. Box lid shows some lt. wear, creasing w/apparent tear seals on panels on close inspection (largest being 3.5" on one side panel) w/edge creases. Scattered lt. aging and handling wear. Box has original insert and cardboard tube over head and feet. Displays Fine/VF overall. Toy has plush-covered body w/hard vinyl face/hands, painted tin chest and feet. Metal collar attached around neck w/matching wrist cuffs w/attached chain. Toy's actions include forward movement, Kong beats his chest as his head moves side to side and mouth opens/closes as loud growl is produced. Battery box is clean w/interior paper and functioned when tested. A few tiny nicks on remote paint. Toy is Exc. One of the most desirable battery-operated toys in choice condition.
