Item Description
4x12.5x21.5" box. Set #3997-98. Series 1000. c. 1958. Box has lt. aging/wear. Box has inner inserts and original fragile paper bags. Surface paper has lt. insect damage on close inspection to white areas. Still displays Fine. Set includes tin litho ranch house and two bunk houses. Some lt. scratches on some tin pieces from storage. Set features cream character figures of Chuck Conners as Lucas McCain (The Rifleman), his son Mark and a larger scale plastic miniature of his famous rifle. This set comes w/18 cowboys in dark red, 18 cowboys in gray, 5 saddle horses, buckboard horse, 13 sections of split rail fence and 18 steers (more than typical) and outdoor accessories. Small accessories including guns, etc., some still on sprue that totals 70 pieces instead of 35 as per usual. Has original instruction sheet w/aging, lt. insect damage, aged tape repair and tears. Set itself shows very little wear and appears unused and complete. Contents are overall Exc. Consignor purchased this set factory sealed, carefully removed staples to examine contents. All contents are as produced and undisturbed in original bags as produced by Marx and NM as issued. Marx Warehouse File Copy from the famous Scala/Bowers Acquisition and subsequent auctions.
