Item Description
This 1.5"button with W&H back paper in use only 1900-1912 is what my co-author of the book Button Power, Christen Carter of Busy Beaver Button Co. in Chicago, has appropriately designated as an 'ice breaker" button- i.e. one designed to get a verbal or emotional response from people seeing it. This is the photo example from the Ice Breakers section of Button Power: 125 Years Of Saying It With Buttons by Christen Carter and Ted Hake, page 94. The casket is draped in black mourning bunting. One pinpoint white air bubble dot by letter "T" and two nearly invisible tiny surface craze line each about 1/16". Glossy and VF. Only example known to us. Comes with Hake's COA.
