Item Description
Another (see previous lot) World War I  Preparedness theme item produced for a poultry exhibition with bold, bright silver text "1917 Show" on the ribbon badge which is 4.5" tall overall and suspending  2.5" attached button. Terrific design of rooster leading regiment of 8 hens with 15 eggs in foreground above "Volunteers." Background scene has flowing American flag, a cannon on wheels and what are apparently  17 small triangular individual hen houses. No maker's name. High gloss and NM. Only example known to us. In our September 2009 auction this realized $300.
