Item Description
1.5". c. 1964. Slight ink bleed in the black lettering of "Support" and "The". Glossy w/only minor surface wear. Exc. Rooted in armed self-defense the Deacons were comprised of African American WWII veterans. The group protected civil rights workers in the deep South who were often unsupported by state and federal authorities including security during the James Meredith March Against Fear.
