Two pages. Each is 7.25x9.5". Dated July 13, 1828. Addressed to Josiah Quincy, the mayor of Boston. Topic of discussion is that of planning an upcoming visit. During the course of the letter, late "Emperor Napoleon" is mentioned. Letter ends w/"More Truly and Affectionate, Your Friend Lafayette". Moderate edge and surface wear, including a few tiny areas of paper loss along the edges. Otherwise even age toning and moderate handling. Fine. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
