Item Description
2" dia. brass frame w/2.25" long threaded post. Fourteen stars in blue field indicate this was likely produced c. 1791 when Vermont was accepted in the Union. Latin text, attributed to Roman poet Horace, translates roughly to "My Head Exalted I Shall Touch The Stars". Tiny black spot in the blue background and in one of the sun rays that detracts little. Otherwise moderate surface wear and handling. Retains vibrant color. VF.
