Item Description
2.5x3x5.25" tall toy w/built-in key comes in nicely illustrated box w/display window. 1960s by Shudo, Japan. Back panel features large image of astronaut w/lunar excursion model in the bkg. along w/Earth. Two other sides feature an image of astronaut w/capsule flying by and rocket launch scene. Lt. box wear, minor corner creases, scattered tiny color rubs. Display window has some pinch creases but is not cracked and remains intact. Toy has tin litho body, vinyl arms and plastic visor covering face. Very nicely detailed including "NASA" insignia on chest and backpack plus "Apollo" on helmet. He holds a space gun in one hand. Toy works and walks forward when wound as a clicking sound is produced. Has widely scattered minute paint nicks but remains bright and quite glossy. Exc.
