Item Description
Lot of three 2x4.25" tin litho name plates, each bearing the name of a different DC Comics comic book title - "Flash Comics, Superman" And "More Fun Comics." These were placed alongside others on wire sales racks displaying comic books for sale. c. early 1940s. Title plates show moderate aging w/spiderwebbing to surfaces and scattered edge wear. VG overall. These early DC racks are very rare and highly desirable; Hake's has sold complete examples for as much as $5,000. These name plates make great display pieces on their own and are rare in any form.
