Item Description
2.5x3.5" signed gum card issued in 1966 ©Marvel Comics Group. Set was comprised of six subsets of 11 cards each for: Captain America, Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Thor. This card #10, featuring great illustration of Captain America trying to stop man w/disintegration ray. "Write Your Own" word balloon. Back has full-color puzzle piece featuring part of Spider-Man. Card has lt. aging w/lt. corner tip wear. Fine overall. Front of card has been signed in blue ink at bottom right Stan Lee (1922-2018), who has added "'90" date and also boldly written "Excelsior!" on back of card. Our Jan. 2023 auction featured a similar Lee-signed card, which sold for $856. However, that card did not have the added bonus of Lee's famous catchphrase. Comes with JSA LOA. Classic piece of vintage Marvel merchandise to have signed by Stan The Man.
