Item Description
12-3/8x12-3/8" album cover for Black Sabbath's ninth studio album "Heaven And Hell," which was released April 18, 1980. It is the first Black Sabbath album to feature vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who replaced original vocalist Ozzy Osbourne in 1979. Back cover has been signed in black felt tip pen by three members - Ronnie James Dio (1942-2010), Tony Iommi (who adds "Best Wishes" inscription) and Vinnie Appice, who joined Black Sabbath during the tour in support of the Heaven And Hell album in 1980. He was quickly brought in to replace original drummer Bill Ward, who quit the band mid-tour due to personal issues. Appice has signed on Ward's image. Album cover shows moderate wear w/large handling creases as well as edge creases, including one that crosses Dio's signature. Fine overall, but signatures remain distinct and still display well. Record just comes along. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
