Item Description
11x14" tracing vellum sheet contains dynamic pencil preliminary pencil art of Tarzan swinging into the trees w/a shouldered antelope as a male lion pursues from below. Use unidentified, cover, splash or book illustration and likely 1960s. Art is by Reed Crandall (1917-1982). Crandall drew for comic books from 1939 until 1973. His first work appears in comics from publisher Quality Comics and later he became a mainstay at E.C. In 1964, he illustrated books by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Sheet has lt. aging/wear. Some minor edge tearing at top. Overall 8x11.5" image area displays Exc.
